Cafe Blues

The inward look begins to reveal a deep thirst for meaning, for true companionship, for purpose. Although the darkness is now apparent, there is a light, and it is coming from the Water. Jesus said, “You are going to have the light just a little while longer. Walk while you have the light, before darkness overtakes you. The man who walks in the dark does not know where he is going. Put your trust in the light while you have it, so that you may become sons of light.”

The Wave

The beauty of authentic love is that love doesn’t wait for us to cross the bridge, but comes to help us across. The Water comes crashing up in a wave to embrace him. “Whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” (John 4:14)

In a Glass Dimly

"The cross has said it all. I never recognized Your touch Until I met you at the cross. We are fallen, dust to dust. How could you do this for us? Son of God, shed precious blood. Who can comprehend this love?" (from The Cross has said it all by Matt Redman)

Captivated

As our traveler's vision becomes clearer, his heart is captured by the beauty of the One who gave His life to quench this thirst for meaning and purpose. Complex and radiant color begins to flow. “All of the things that hold my heart, All of the pleasures of this life Cannot compare to who You are And the treasures of Your love.” (from Satisfy by Glenn Packiam)

The Living Water

The Living Water is full of grace and power, a waterfall so abundant that it cannot be contained even by the canyon walls but comes pouring forth, splashing and dancing and bringing great beauty to the rocky landscape of life. “For the Lamb at the center of the throne will be your shepherd; He will lead you to springs of living water, and God will wipe away every tear from your eyes.” (Rev 7:17)
